By Train

The nearest train stations are at Builth Wells (c.15 miles), Abergavenny (18 miles), Merthyr Tydfil (28.5 miles) and Hereford and Leominster (c.30 miles)

By Bus

You can use traws.cymru to plan your bus travel to Talgarth.

There is a regular weekday bus service (T14) between Hereford and Brecon from Hereford via Hay on Wye and from Cardiff via Brecon.

The T4 Service between Cardiff and Newtown stops once daily in Talgarth or you can connect regularly throughout the day at the Brecon Bus Interchange for the onward T14 to Talgarth

The X43 also runs regularly between Abergavenny and Brecon, connecting to the T14 services to Talgarth at the Brecon Bus Interchange.

The X12 bus service from Builth Wells to Abergavenny also operates a limited bus service via Talgarth.

By Car

Directions from London

Follow the M4 over the Severn Bridge to Junction 24 (Newport). Take the A449 and then the A40 to Abergavenny. Stay on the A40 until just after the town of Crickhowell, then turn right on to the A479 to Talgarth.

Directions from Birmingham

Take the M5 to junction 8 and then the M50 to Ross-on-Wye, then follow the A40 to Abergavenny. Stay on the A40 until just after the town of Crickhowell, to turn right on to the A479 to Talgarth.
