Walk #16 grading: 2 Boot

From Talgarth Station Road car park, We make our way through the center of Talgarth and up to “Top Town” past St Gwendoline’s Church and on a lane for 500m, climbing at a steady pace. Breaking off the lane onto a public right of way we head into the lower part of Parkwood. At this time of year bluebells abound and plenty of birdsong fills the air. Heading up a permissive path, we cross the lane again and enter the main part of the wood. Following woodland trails and rides, we delve into the history of the wood and how Talgarth Community Woodland Group are assisting the Woodland Trust in restoring Parkwood to Ancient Woodland. descending down through the woodland and onto open fields, we head back to Talgarth and the carpark.
