TWF2026-231 Cusop Christmas Tree Walk (Saturday)

£12.00
TWF Walks and Events will be on-sale late 2025

Grading: 3 Boot

The walk initially heads south down the Offa’s Dyke path, before crossing over Dulas Brook, the Wales-England border, and then follows Cusop Dingle past quite a few waterfalls, before climbing into New House Wood, where the Bauble or Christmas Tree is to be found. Bring along your own bauble to hang on the tree!

The walk exits the wood into the ‘Triangle Field’, where there are glorious views from the peak, before heading around Cusop Hill to find the Angel in woods on the way to Archenfield.

The walk turns back to climb to the old hill fort at the top of Mousecastle Wood, before returning via Cusop St.Mary’s church and past some more waterfalls. Finally, the walk crosses back into Wales near the residence of the Hay Poisoner, which is a story in itself!

Sponsored by Elmsleigh Bed & Breakfast

Maximum walking group size is 16 (+ leaders)
