This walk follows Offa’s Dyke from Pandy to Hay-on-Wye, along one of the main ridges of the Black Mountains.

Starting in Pandy, participants ascend Hatterrall Hill and continue north along the ridge to Red Darren trig point. This offers panoramic vistas east to Longtown and west over Llanthony and the Black Mountains. The route passes Cat’s Back to the east and leads to Hay Bluff. The route then descends through woodland and pasture to finish at Hay-on-Wye.

Minibus transport from Hay-on-Wye to Pandy is included.
